Recipe: Mugcake!

Hello there,

You must have heard about this really simple but very delicious recipe before, but it is such a great thing that I will tell you about it as well!
It's an ideal recipe if you want to bake something but do not have the time to bake a whole pie, if you want something more special than a cookie, or if you don't want to share it with your family. ;)
The Mugcake!
This recipe of the mugcake will not turn into a brownie, it's not a sticky one but it's very light, though filling.

Okay, let's start by collecting all the necessary ingredients:

You use a teaspoon, tablespoon, fork and a mug. (Preferably a huge one.)
- 3 Tbls. (tablespoon) flour
- 2 Tsp. (teaspoon) baking powder
- 5 Tbls. sugar
- 2 Tbls. cocoa
- 1 egg
- 3 Tbls. milk
- 3,5 Tbls. liquid butter (You can easily melt the butter in the microwave.)
- 4 blocks of pure chocolate, chopped into patches.

1: First you blend the flour, baking powder, sugar and cocoa in the mug. I used a fork to stir because that went easier than with a spoon.
2: Now you have to add the egg and blend it until there are no more pieces and loose powder left.
3: Add the milk and liquid butter and stir again, you can stop stirring if it looks like a smooth, solid batter.
4: Mingle the chocolate patches through the batter.
5: The mugcake is ready to bake, place it in the microwave for 3 minutes on the highest. (This was 900 Watt for my microwave.)

Before you fall upon your cake you have to test if it's done: stick a cocktail pick into the cake, if it comes out clean it's done, if not then you need to bake it a bit longer in the microwave.

My mugcake had more chocolate patches on the bottom and they were still melted, so it tasted even more delicious!

Before I forget to warn you:
- It is possible that your mugcake floods, (mine flood extremely) that is no problem and the cake will still be very delicious. You only have to make sure you clean the microwave after baking. ;)
- The mugcake is very filling! it's not a little snack so I advice you to not bake it directly before/after a meal or before you sport. But when you bake it at the right moment, it will be sooo yummy!

Bon Appétit!

Baking Time!

Mmmm, are you just as fond of delicious cakes, pies, and chocolates as I am?
I like baking and making these little pleasures yourself makes you joy them even more!
This weekend Daphne and I made a cupcake-pie !
We started making the pie, after buying the ingredients, the pie went in the oven, and we could wait.
Our pie was going to have a 'second floor' and a cupcake on top of it, so we made some extra dough. We noticed that we had made little too much dough, because instead of one cupcake, we made eight. ;)

The day after, we could start decorating the cake, now it was cooled down.
We cut the pie in two pieces and spread jam between them. The 'second floor' cake and the cupcakes had some cacao in the dough, so they we're more like chocolate cake. :)
We rolled the fondant and placed it on the cake, it's hard to get that look really smooth because it breaks easily when you have to cover a big area.

Here you see the making off.

We decorated the pie with flowers, butterflies, and of course cupcakes made of fondant!
For the cupcake on top of the pie we made a topper, with sugar and butter.
Altogether you get this, in my opinion beautiful, cake!
And it tasted delicious!

See you soon!
